• Grew up in sunny San Diego. Spent the last few years growing up some more in rainy Portland. Recently back under the San Diego sun.

• My morning soundtrack lacks brand consistency. Some days start with Frank Sinatra. Other days, Fred Durst.

• The first season of True Detective is my Roman Empire.

• All of my favorite sports teams are cursed. I try not to let this affect my self-worth.
